HAZMAT Labeling

This course presents fundamental information on HAZMAT labeling. Upon completing this course, employees should:
– Understand why OSHA and other government organizations require containers of hazardous materials to be labeled.
– Recognize the four labeling systems most often used to identify hazardous materials in the United States.
– Know what information must be included on labels used to identify hazardous chemicals.
– Be able to identify the hazards associated with various substances by reading the information on their labels.
– Know the requirements for labeling containers of hazardous waste.
